Ready to race!

Our family after Michael's drive.  This was the best gift I've gotten Michael so far! He really had a great time.  I have NO idea how I'm supposed to  top that, though.  Guess it's downhill from here, sorry hubby.

Morgan's 5th Birthday Princess Tea Party!

My baby had a Ninja Turtle themed birthday party for her 4th birthday, so I was THRILLED when she said that she wanted a princess party for her 5th. I immediately called one of my best friends, Jessica Campbell, to ask her if she would be the princess for Morgan's party. She was the HIT of the party! I was so nervous that some of the girls would say something about her not being a real princess or something and not get all into it, but the fact that there was a princess at the party REALLY made the party! They all sat there just talking to her for about a half hour. She helped open gifts, painted faces, and in general added the theme to the party. I owe her BIG time because she was truly the best princess I could have asked for! Morgan was in a little bit of a mood on the day of her party, which was a bit frustrating, but since all the other girls were having a great time, it was a little bit better. I still can't believe that my baby is 5. I can still clearly remember the day she was born and trying to get word to Michael that I was in labor b/c he was in transit from Kuwait to Germany at the time. He got the message that my water broke but was a little confused and thought something was wrong. Thankfully he got a hold of his mother who explained what was going on to him. She came out a week early, just 4 days shy of Michael being home. I always stuck to the fact that she wanted to meet her buddy looking all pretty in a pretty dress instead of the alternative. She turned us into a family that day, and she is so special to the both of us. I can hardly believe that all of that was 5 years ago. She is now the best big sister Mikayla could have asked for and the best oldest daughter we could have hoped for. Happy birthday my little Morgan!

July Trip #2: Irvine

Since it has been a while since this trip, I can't really speak to the details, BUT, I do have some pictures to share!

Trip to Chick-fil-a  with the Buchanans before their move back up north. So good to see them all, it has been too long.

She LOVED this cow hat!

Tried to do her hair all cute...but it was out a few moments later.

Waiting in line for Pirates!

Michael took Morgan on her first trip on Splash Mountain...she wasn't thrilled, so I think we'll wait a while until we take her again.

My babies on the Nemo Submarine....for the first time since Morgan's puking incident on our trip with Jamie and Gavin back when she was 2!

Celebrating Mikayla's birthday with my parents and a princess Belle cake!

First Day of Kindergarten for the First Born, Check!

Okay, so today was a terribly emotional day full of me fighting back tears and trying not to look at the clock every two seconds, BUT, that was my day. Mikayla's day was pretty much the same as mine. Morgan, however, said she had a great day! So far, I got out of her that she made new friends, but couldn't remember any of their names. They watched a cat cartoon in the morning while the other kids ate breakfast. They read a book all together. She mentioned something about being excited to see what color the monster was tomorrow? They sang twinkle little star and the ABC song, but Ms. Yano sings it differently. She went on the slide a bunch of times. She got to play outside, TWICE!!! She saw her friend Stephie from dance, but I'm still not sure if she actually played with her or not. She ate one of her apple slices and threw the rest away. She spilled all her fruit snacks at snack time, and because it was the only snack she had outside with her, she picked them all up and ate them anyway. (EWWW, yet, I'm glad she didn't go hungry....I guess?) She said that the teacher told her to raise her hand when she was trying to tell her something but then didn't call on her. I asked what it was and she said she wanted to tell Ms. Yano that her "pretty school" teacher, Mrs. Terri, said criss-cross applesauce just like she did. Oh, and she went potty at school and buttoned her skirt all by herself. And that is what I got out of my big girl Kindergartner about her first day of elementary school. I figured it was better to hear about her day from her. ;)

All ready to go with her new backpack, lunchbox,  outfit and haircut!
The newest little panda!
My sweet girl, so excited for kindergarten!
This is the last sight I saw of my baby before leaving her  for the day.  Happily watching her cartoon while the other kids ate breakfast.

Morgan and Ms. Yano.

Some sister love before school.

And yes, the lack of make-up was intentional.
